Alex Scott, 36, has admitted she encountered a wardrobe mishap just before filming The One Show. She was presenting this evening’s show with Jermaine Jenas, 38.
JJ was wearing a different top, but we looked the same.
The presenter told her 499,000 Instagram followers about what had happened.
She said: “JJ was wearing a different top, but we looked the same.
“It’s like I called trumps, you got called to change.”
Jermaine could be seen laughing at Alex’s comment in her Instagram Story video, whilst wearing his dark blue polo.
On the show, Alex wore a white blouse, complemented by smart black trousers.
She wore her hair down with the front section of her locks pulled back and accessorised with black stiletto heels.
From this, it seems that Jermaine was initially wearing white before he was forced to change.
The show featured guest appearances from Joshua Jackson, Alexandra Burke, and Max Whitlock.
It was announced in April that Jermaine and Ronan Keating would join Alex Jones as permanent presenters on the show.
Alex Scott continues to co-host episodes of the show across the year.
The former professional footballer has barely caught a break this year, covering a variety of presenting gigs.
She was a main presenter for the BBC’s coverage of the 2020 Olympic Games alongside the likes of Claire Balding and Dan Walker.
Many dedicated fans of The One Show are missing regular presenter Alex Jones, who has presented the show since 2010, and is currently on maternity leave after welcoming her third baby.
One fan said: “JJ and Alex Scott together just doesn’t work.
“They need to be partnered with skilled presenters until they learn the trade.”
Another said: “Sorry to say but Alex Scott isn’t the most natural of presenters.
“But the BBC are desperate to put her on everything.”
Alex, however, has many loyal fans and has gone from strength to strength this year, appearing frequently our TV screens.
The One Show airs weekdays at 7pm on BBC One.
