Avengers’ Robert Downey Jr wishes ‘America’s a**’ a happy birthday

Today marks Chris Evans’ 38th turn around the sun and in true fashion his Avengers co-stars have come to wish him a happy birthday.

Not long after the US woke up, Mark Ruffalo was on board to wish his Endgame co-star a happy birthday with a wholesome post that really makes our heart sing.

Mark’s message was delightfully sweet, but Robert Downey Jr took things a little more Tony Stark-esque as he praised Captain America’s pert behind.

Look, if anyone can do it, it’s this guy.

Sharing a gif from recently-released Endgame of Chris’ Cap admiring his own butt, RDJ was spreading the birthday cheer.

‘Happy birthday to America’s a*s,’ he wrote on Twitter. ‘The world’s a better place, and I owe you a kiss on the cheek! @ChrisEvans’

We’re not sure which cheek Robert is referring to, but we’ll just keep things moving, shall we?

The man who plays Bruce Banner/Hulk took to Twitter to share a sweet shot of the two pals on set, with Chris geared up as Steve Rogers and Mark rocking some CGI dots.

‘Happiest of birthdays to the fantastic @ChrisEvans Love you, Bro,’ Mark wrote. ‘Always there when you need him. Wishing you all the best today!’

The green screen in the background also gave the vibe a little something else. But above all else we’re crying.

Chris was appreciative of all the birthday love, as you can imagine because he’s a legend, as he thanked his mate for the well wishes, replying: ‘Awwww, buddy. You’re a gem.’

A fair few social media punters were jumping on board the birthday train as they dedicated various celebratory prose to the actor.

‘Thank you all for the amazing birthday wishes!!’ he wrote on Thursday. ‘Some of them are really cracking me up!’

Happy birthday Cap! The people’s Avenger.
