Billie Eilish Joked About Wearing a “Mrs. Claus” Inspired Dress on 'Saturday Night Live'

Billie Eilish hosted Saturday Night Live over the weekend, and she spared no expense at bringing the laughs, even if that meant taking a few jabs at herself. During her opening monologue, Billie joked about her fashion choice for the night, a festive ensemble inspired by Mrs. Claus.

“If you don’t know me for my music, you may know me for my hair or my clothes,” she began. “That is why I decided to dress like Mrs. Claus going to the club, but actually, I’m only wearing this because, after the show, I got to go get married in an anime.”

LOL! She took the laughs to the next level when she joked about her past clothing choices. “Some people wonder why I started wearing baggy clothes and there was actually a good reason. It wasn’t just for comfort or for style,” she said. “This is hard to say for me, but the real reason I wore big, oversized clothes back then is I was actually two kids stacked on top of each other trying to sneak into an R-rated movie.”

According to Vogue, Billie’s dress was lace, tulle, and broderie anglaise designed by Simone Roch for her spring 2022 collection. The red accents on Billie’s dress and boots def served Christmastime vibes.

Fashion aside, the holiday theme was in full swing on this week’s episode of SNL. Along with cracking jokes about her dress, Billie hit the stage in a sketch, where she sang about making it weird with Santa Claus.
