Bob Saget's widow Kelly Rizzo pays tribute on what would've been 66th birthday

Bob Saget’s wife Kelly Rizzo has shared a loving tribute for the actor on what would have been his 66th birthday.

The Full House star died at the beginning of the year, while on tour, at the age of 65.

Hollywood led tributes following the news, with Jimmy Kimmel, Alyson Hannigan and Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen among those offering condolences.

Taking to Instagram, Rizzo posted photos and videos taken on his last birthday, alongside a lengthy caption in which she wished him a happy birthday.

‘Happy birthday my Love. These pictures and videos were taken exactly 1 year ago in Mexico,’ she began. ‘We always celebrated our birthdays together with a trip. (His is the 17th and mine is 19th). This last trip was so special. We both celebrated each other so big.

‘You never know when something is going to be “the last” time. But I’m so grateful that he was showered with all of the love he deserves. I pray he can see all of the love he’s already getting from around the world today.

‘Honey, everyone loves you so damn much. Everyone wants you to know how important and special you are on your special day, and we ALL celebrate you.

‘You are one of a kind and you certainly made my world go ‘round. I love you more than anything and miss you every minute.’

‘Your girls and I will hold on tight to each other today,’ Rizzo concluded the post. ‘And I know you’d want me to get a martini tonight, so I’ll oblige. Happy birthday, honey.’

Fans and famous friends flooded her comments section below with supportive messages on the poignant say.

John Stamos posted: ‘What a beautiful celebration,’ as Taylor Lautner replied with a string of heart emoji.

Katie Couric commented: ‘Happy Birthday Bob. Sending you so much love, @eattravelrock.’

‘These brought a tear to my eye. Damn. Miss your hubby so much,’ Joel McHale said.

As Amanda Kloots added: ’Love to you today.’

Saget met Rizzo, his second wife, in 2015, and they tied the knot three years later – he was previously married to Sherri Kramer, who he shared three daughters with.

He died on January 9 after suffering a head injury in his Florida hotel room, but his full autopsy was permanently sealed after it was described as ‘graphic’.
