‘Broken’ Tamzin Outhwaite’s heartache as cheating ex Tom Ellis marries new love

Tamzin Outhwaite has spoken of being "brutally broken" just days before her ex Tom Ellis married his love Meaghan Oppenheimer in a lavish Californian vineyard ceremony.

The EastEnders star was married to Tom for eight years and has two daughters – Florence, 10, and six-year-old Marnie – but their relationship crashed and burned in 2014 when he admitted to cheating on Tamzin with Lost star Emilie de Ravin.

A year later, Tom announced he had started dating screenwriter Meaghan Oppenheimer – and earlier this year he revealed they were planning their wedding.

Just days before their June 3 nuptials, Tamzin shared a cryptic quote on Instagram hinting at her feelings.

"If you have been brutally broken but still have the courage to be gentle to other living beings, then you're a badass with a heart of an angel," it read.

The actress had simply captioned the quote: "Amen."

Later that same day she shared a second post with a more forgiving slant.

"Grudges are for those who insist that they are owed something," the quote by Criss Jami read.

"Forgiveness, however, is for those who are substantial enough to move on."

She's yet to comment on her ex's big day, which was held in California's Grassini Family Winery in the Santa Ynez Valley on Monday.

Tom, 40, was seen kissing his 33-year-old bride in the lavish outdoor ceremony, which was attended by a small number of their closest friends and family, including Tom and Tamzin's daughters.

Meaghan wore a floor-length white lace dress with floral embellishments and a flouncy sleeve, which she paired with a tumbling veil over her wavy brunette locks.

The handsome groom opted for a black tuxedo and bow tie over a white shirt, which he accessorised with an elegant white rose in his buttonhole.

Meaghan had 10 of her closest friends as bridesmaids, who all tore up the rules and turned up wearing long white dresses in a range of styles. Her stepdaughters Florence and Marnie acted as flower girls and carried their own little bouquets of white and cream roses.

Tom had just four of his pals to act as groomsmen, all wearing identical tuxes.

The happy couple exchanged vows underneath the vineyard's oak trees, and kissed as their guests applauded. They then stayed outside by the shade of the vines for cocktails and canapes, which were brought round by waitresses on wooden boards.

Tom and Meaghan asked their guests not to bring wedding presents, but instead to donate money to Planned Parenthood instead.

Both of them shared the first pictures from their nuptials to their respective Instagrams, with Tom posting one of him and Meaghan standing on a wooden jetty by a lake.

"My new wife @moppyoppenheimer was a little unsure about my choice of transport for the honeymoon," he joked of the tiny rowing boat next to them.

"Thank you to everyone who made our special day so precious #happy #married photo by @mibellephotographers wedding planning by @jogartin ."

Meaghan posted one of her and Tom in their first dance surrounded by their smiling guests, which she captioned: "Married!!!!!!"

In April this year, Tom had gushed about his love for Meaghan in a series of snaps, thanking her for "looking so beautiful and loving me so good".

While he has never publicly gone into detail about cheating on Tamzin, he did confess to having a one-night stand in 2013 while filming Gothica.

Tamzin, however, hinted it was more than a quick fling when she opened up to Essentials magazine in 2015.

"I wouldn't not be with my husband over a one-night stand is all I'll say," she said at the time.

Since then, however, the actress has found love again with toyboy Tom Child, who moved in to her London home in April 218.
