David Beckham has vowed to get his "revenge" against his wife Victoria after she failed to crop out his "last minute shoe option" from their Remembrance Day photo.
The pair, who recently enjoyed a £3,430 per person German detox retreat, dressed smart for the Sunday snap which former Spice Girls star Victoria posted for her 28.7million fans to see, which was captioned: "Wearing our poppies with pride today! #RemembranceSunday @davidbeckham".
Victoria, 46, donned a burnt orange and navy blue turtleneck jumper with a pair of jeans and a red poppy for the occasion while her other half wore a crisp white shirt and grey blazer alongside brown trousers and a matching red poppy.

However, clearly in a rush to take the photo, David didn't bother to match his shoes to the rest of his outfit and instead wore the first thing he saw: a pair of wellies.
And fans couldn't help but tease him for the fashion blunder as one person wrote: "Wellies are a tad much Dave!!"
Another said: "David, Goliath called, he wants his boots back!"
While others compared the 45 year old former footballer to different fictional characters as one said: "I think you’ve put Hagrid’s boots on by mistake," followed by a laughing emoji.

Another joked: "Had to the 2 minute silent outside and couldn't find his slippers so he found the Gaston costume boots," [sic] with three laughing emojis.
Horrified by the number of comments slamming his boots, David decided to go to his own Instagram stories to offer and explanation.
Sharing a side-by-side snap of himself and Gaston from the Disney movie Beauty and the Beast, he wrote: "So my wife decided to post before asking me or cropping my last minute shoe option," he wrote with a raised eyebrow emoji.

David, who recently divided fans after kissing his daughter Harper, nine, on the lips, then promised to get back at his wife as he added: "Revenge will be sweet @victoriabeckham".
Obviously not worried about the thread, Victoria responded by sharing the same side-by-side snap, over which she wrote: "Gaston wants his boots back @davidbeckham".
It comes as David was recently heavily criticised after posting a video of his daughter interacting with a white rhino at Cotswold Wildlife Park.

One person commented: “Sorry mate, but zoos are not the answer… the animals are not meant to be kept locked up.”
Another irked follower said: “It’s horrible that you are supporting zoos, you should teach your kids that animals should be free.”
And they weren’t the only people to critique the midfielder turned football club owner’s parenting. “Booo,” exclaimed a commenter, followed by four thumbs down emojis. “What a great father. Take your daughter to admire a caged animal.”
