Giovanna Fletcher may be in for some disappointing news after she leaves the castle. The podcaster and author, 35, who is currently I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! was promised by husband Tom that he would wait for her to come home before putting the Christmas tree up.
But it seems as though Tom may have spoken too soon, as he – along with three boys – got to work this weekend transforming their Essex pad into a winter wonderland.
Taking to Instagram, old fans: “Ok, so you remember I said to @mrsgifletcher that I wouldn’t put the Christmas tree up until she was out of @imacelebrity?”
He added: “OOPS!”
Tom told fans: “With Mumma away and 2020 being, well, 2020, I wanted to make the home as Christmassy as possible for the kids…ok, it’s for me mainly but the kids love it too!” he wrote.
Naturally, Tom’s risky decision divided fans.
Some aren’t convinced Giovanna will be happy with him once she leaves Gwrych Castle in north Wales, while others think she’ll be fine.
“If you think the trials are bad, just you wait until Mrs Gi comes out and sees what you have done without her,” one fan said.
Another disagreed, writing: “She’ll be fine I think – the kids had fun.”
Tom was last night put through the wringer as he watched his wife of eight years break down in tears.
Giovanna was one of the three campmates left without a treat from home, leaving her understandably emotional and upset.
During the latest instalment of the ITV show, Giovanna and the rest of the camp were given opportunities throughout the day to win treats from their families as well as camp dinners.

There was a series of challenges throughout the episode that saw the team put through their paces for a chance to win a key.
The author was comforted by her fellow campmates, but said she wished she was able to get her hands on what her loved ones had sent her.
Only AJ Pritchard, Jordan North and Giovanna were left empty handed while their campmates received things from their loved ones.
Giovanna later said in the Telegraph: “Your heart aches and then you attach yourself to anything.”
She added: “How lovely would it be to hear from Tom and the boys, just a sentence? It’s a sentence and I’m going to pretend each sentence anyone gets is from the kids and I’m going to adopt them like they’re mine.”
And Tom has since taken to Giovanna’s Instagram and posted a message of support alongside a photo of Giovanna and her three boys.
“Keep going, Mumma!” he wrote.
“It was tough seeing her get emotional about the kids tonight but these mummy’s boys couldn’t be more proud of her and love catching up with the camp over breakfast each morning. Hang in there honey! X Tom x,” he wrote.
