I strip so you can eat!

Ulrika Jonsson

“I go, ‘Oh by the way, I’m gonna be nude tomorrow in the papers’ [and] I hear deafening silence, or I can hear the rolling of the eyes,” she joked.

“Bo is generally quite supportive actually,” she conceded of her eldest daughter, a 21-year-old nanny in training who has battled the hardship of being born with a congenital heart defect.

“She goes, ‘Very proud of you, mamma!’ I don’t know if it’s just a gratuitous throw-away thing, but it’s lovely to hear.”

However her other three children – aged 27, 17 and 13 – are less encouraging of her career choices.

“I’m contemplating an Only Fans account just to p**s them off,” she shot back defiantly.

“I go, ‘I strip so you can eat!'”

“It does make them cringe, but they have to acknowledge that this is what I do and also love the rewards of what I do, when I can arrange something special for them because I might know someone,” she commented on the perks of her job.

“So, you know, shut up, really!” she joked.

Host Kate Thornton cackled with laughter, joining in with an encouraging, “Shut up, I’m naked – deal with it”.

Ulrika’s good friend Kerry Katona, who has claimed she received more than £1 million through posting sultry snaps on the paid subscription site since signing up at the height of last year’s pandemic, was the one who encouraged her to join in.

The former Atomic Kitten star now earns “tens of thousands of pounds per month” even when some of the snaps are solely of her feet – and when Ulrika saw her success, she was keen to get in on the action, with or without her children’s approval.

She has been a mum for 27 years – half of her life so far – and had to take on adult responsibilities from an early age after her mum abandoned the family home when she was just eight, so she now feels she has finally earned the right to prioritise her own needs, even if the change is at times overwhelming for her.

“My life has [always] been about family,” she reflected, “and [when my kids all leave home], it’ll be hard for someone like me, who just wanted children [and] just wanted them around”.

“The whole idea of doing something away from my children was [until recently] really alien to me.”

However, she has since told her kids that she’ll be dating again and doing more things which are solely for herself.

Speaking of later life relationships, Kate prompted that “it’s more ‘rip their pants off’ than ‘wash their pants,'” and Ulrika voiced hearty agreement.

“I’m done with wiping a**es!” she added.

“[And] I’m not looking for someone to complete me, but if there is someone that wants to walk alongside me….”

Meanwhile, now that three of her children have passed the age of 16 and reached adulthood, she is appreciating the concept of taking time to relax.

“I’ve developed a relationship with my sofa and never knew so many good things could come out of doing nothing,” she laughed.
