Lady Gaga, 35, has arrived at the House of Gucci premiere in a stunning purple dress to mark the release of her new film. The Oscar-nominated star posed in the gown which she teamed with statement lace gloves and thigh-high fishnet stockings.

Lady Gaga turned heads with her show-stopping look on the House of Gucci red carpet.

The singer and actress is one of the leads of the highly-anticipated new film.

Starring alongside Al Pacino and Adam Driver, Gaga plays real-life figure Patrizia Reggiani.

The film, due for release at the end of November, is directed by Ridley Scott.

Gaga donned a sheer purple dress for the big night, hosted in Leicester Square earlier tonight.

The sparkling number featured a long cape and a flowing skirt, which she paired with dramatic purple make-up.

The singer then made sure to highlight her choice of fishnet stockings and underwear as she posed on the red carpet with her skirt lifted.

To complete the dramatic ensemble, Gaga wore long sparkling gloves.

The A Star is Born actress wore her long blonde hair loose around her shoulders as she posed next to her co-stars.

She was seen embracing Driver, who wore a simple navy suit for the occasion.

The Star Wars actor also wore a poppy badge for the prestigious event.

Other stars posing with Gaga on the red carpet included Jared Leto.

He wore a turquoise velvet suit with a simple beige shirt underneath.

Other actors in attendance included Jeremy Irons and Salma Hayek.

The synopsis for the movie teases: “The film is set in Italy, spanning three decades of love, betrayal, decadence, revenge.

“It depicts the events and aftermath of the 1995 murder of Maurizio Gucci, Italian businessman and head of the fashion house Gucci, by his ex-wife Patrizia Reggiani.”

Speaking about her role in a recent interview with Vogue, Gaga said: “It is three years since I started working on it.

“And I will be fully honest and transparent: I lived as her [Reggiani] for a year and a half.

“And I spoke with an accent for nine months of that.

“I never broke. I stayed with her.”
