Love Island’s Kai ‘is loyal and his head won’t be turned’ says his best pal

He quickly caught the attention of payroll administrator Anna-May Robey, ring-girl Olivia Hawkins and hair-stylist Tanyel Revan when he entered the Love Island villa last week and Kai Fagan is boyfriend material, according to his best mate.

Barber Luke Salisbury says the 6ft 6in PE teacher has some lovely qualities that make him a relationship type of guy.

The 24-year-old insists Kai is a “loyal lad” and claims he’d be “surprised” if his pal’s head turns when he’s in an established couple – “unless it was for someone really special”, he adds.

He says: “Even when he’s just seeing someone casually, he wouldn’t bat an eyelid at another girl.

“He’s definitely a relationship person – he’s been in love twice. His longest relationship was around two years whilst he was at university, so he’d be buzzing to leave the villa with a girlfriend.”

Luke adds: “Obviously, he’s a good-looking bloke. I go on nights out with him and he does very well with girls. They’re always staring at him – I think it’s because of his height, they’re always looking up! He gets a tap on the shoulder on every night out.”

Kai found himself at the centre of the drama early on as he swapped partners multiple times. After coupling and recoupling a number of times, Kai ended up with Tanyel after she "stole" him from Olivia, who stole him from his first "partner", Anna-May.

Love Island fans have also compared Kai to former Islander Adam Collard who has appeared on the show in two different series.

Meanwhile, Lana Jenkins and partner Ron Hall have been the favourites to reach the finale and claim the £50,000 cash prize.

Ron, who is now with Tanyel following the re-coupling, is the first partially blind contestant on the show, while Lana has a famous ex, 2022 I'm A Celeb… runner-up Owen Warner.

When asked about her relationship with the Hollyoaks actor, Lana said: “We had a lovely relationship. We had a bit of a lockdown relationship, so we spent a lot of time together.

"And then when we ended, we ended amicably, so I have nothing bad to say in terms of our relationship and the time that we spent together. I watched the (I’m A Celebrity) final and that was it because, obviously he got to the final, so that was amazing, and I thought I’d watch it out of support.”

She continued: "But I just thought it’s a bit weird to watch your ex for an hour on telly every evening, so I didn’t bother. But I did send him a message when he got out and was like, ‘Well done. That’s amazing that you came runner up’. So it was nice.”
