Love Island’s Marcel Somerville grows impatient as pregnant fiancée Rebecca Vieira reaches her due date

He is all set to become a dad for the very first time, and now Marcel Somerville is counting down the days until his son arrives.

The Love Island star, who was attacked with a machete last year, took to Instagram to reveal that pregnant fiancée Rebecca Vieira has reached her due date.

The 35 year old took to Instagram to share some loved-up snaps of the couple posing for the camera.

He captioned them: "It's #DUEDATE. Where has the time gone! Come on son! We wanna meet ya!!!

"Me and @rebeccavieirax have spent the majority of the day in little mans nursery just feeling the vibes! I hope he's like me… #Punctual," Marcel wrote with a crying with laughter emoji.

Rebecca responded to the post and wrote: "Literally all day I was letting him see his new bedroom."

The singer's Love Island pal and fellow new dad, Jamie Jewitt, commented: "Yes you two!! Can't wait to see pictures! Cmon little man!"

The couple announced they were expecting their first child in July 2020.

The Blazin' Squad star gushed on Instagram: "This years been full of so many ups and downs across the world and I've recently experienced the scariest moment of my life but I've got some positive news for you lot.

"I've been waiting for weeks to let you all know! I'm so excited!!!

"Me and @rebeccavieirax are about to join the wonderful world of parenthood!!! Babies on route!!!" the dad-to-be expressed.

Just a month later, the pair discovered the gender of their unborn child at their gender reveal party.

Marcel and Rebecca held up confetti canons which released blue confetti into the air, which left them overjoyed.

As their guests cheered in excitement, the television personality, who previously opened up about the police holding him at gunpoint, got down on one knee and proposed to his other half.

Clearly in shock, Rebecca covered her mouth before shaking her head up and down to say yes and putting on the diamond ring.

Marcel found fame as part of hip-hop group Blazin' Squad back in 2001, and later went on to re-establish himself again on Love Island in 2017.
