Love Island's Tyla Carr was left devastated when her hair started falling out in the wake of her split from partner Rossco Edmonds and becoming a single mum to baby Archie.
The 25-year-old reality star would be standing in the shower with her hair falling out in clumps as she desperately tried everything she could to retain her locks.
It got so bad that Tyla started noticing bald patches all over her temples as the post-partum hair loss kicked in.
"It was horrendous – I had always had lovely thick hair and it grew even more luscious when I was pregnant with Archie," she said.
"But that all changed when I stopped breastfeeding. I began to notice clumps of hair coming out in the shower in the morning, blocking up the plughole. And there was so much hair around the house I used to joke that I would fill up the Hoover bag."
Tyla's self-confidence took a hit as she panicked about the amount of hair she was losing every day.
"I had read about women losing their hair after stopping breastfeeding but I never thought it would happen to me," she went on.
"I had always had fantastic hair so it was particularly upsetting to see it all falling out."
Tyla ended up turning to a hair supplement called GROW by Hair Gain to restore her barnet to its former glory.
It came at an especially stressful time for the former nanny as she and Rossco broke up just seven months after welcoming little Archie.
She only revealed the split last month, telling fans on Instagram : "I am recently single, I've been super quiet because I'm really not sure what to say, it's an awful situation, but I will explain a few things in good time."
In December last year, Tyla and Rossco announced they'd welcomed their son into the world.
