Phillip Schofield took to social media and revealed that he spent a weekend break with his wife Stephanie Lowe and the couple’s two daughters Molly, 28, and Ruby, 25. It comes after the This Morning presenter bravely came out as a gay last year.

The 59-year-old has been married to his wife Steph for 27 years and they regularly spend time together as a family.

Following Phillip’s announcement, the married pair have remained close and recently enjoyed a holiday with their adult children.

It comes as Phillip celebrated his eldest daughter’s 28th birthday with a weekend break.

Taking to his Instagram stories, the ITV presenter shared a sweet snap of his family.

In view of his 3.1 million followers, Phillip shared a photo alongside his wife and two daughters as they beamed at the camera.

He captioned the post: “Amazing long weekend celebrating @mollyschofe’s birthday.

“Hope you had a wonderful time gorgeous.”

Last year, the presenter said that he and Stephanie’s relationship was a “work in progress” after addressing his sexuality.

Speaking on Chris Evan’s podcast How To Wow in October 2020, said: “I’m still married to Steph. There is a great deal of talk of divorce – we have not discussed that at all.”

The This Morning presenter added: “With divorce… that has not been discussed. We are picking our way through and however that works and it’s a work in progress. I am a work in progress. Steph is a work in progress.”

When asked by Chris how long he will continue to wear his wedding ring, Phillip continued: “That is a very good question, Chris. I don’t know. Because I am still married to Steph.

“It is not in my nature to hurt people and so I have to reconcile myself with the fact that I have done that. Indeed I have done that and I tried very hard not to.

“I also say, is it possible to come out and not hurt your wife? No of course it isn’t. My greatest concern is that she is okay.”

Phillip tied the knot with Stephanie in 1993 and the couple have been married for over two decades.

Speaking to co-star Holly Willoughby about his wife, Phillip said: “Steph has been incredible – I love her so very much. She is the kindest soul I have ever met.

“My girls have been astonishing in their love, hugs and encouraging words of comfort. Both mine and Steph’s entire families have stunned me with their love, instant acceptance and support.

“Of course they are worried about Steph, but I know they will scoop us both up.”

Meanwhile, Phillip and Holly have taken time away from their presenting duties on This Morning as they enjoy their summer break.

Husband and wife duo Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford are now back at the helm for the next couple of weeks.

This Morning airs weekdays on ITV at from 10am.
