WOULD you name your baby something devil-related?

According to baby name expert Pamela Redmond from Nameberry Creator, there are some very bizarre names rising in popularity in the US.

ABC Everyday reported that parents are giving their children more unique names lately as a way of giving them individuality and self-expression.

As reported by Statista, there are roughly 3.75 million babies born in the US each year, so it can be difficult to find a name that isn't overly used.

These unique baby names have been rising in popularity across the US in hopes of making their little one stand out.

According to the recent (2021) US popularity list from SSA, the names Azriel and Azrael represent "the Angel of Death in Abrahamic religions."

Cannon was another popular name, with 579 baby boys being named after the weapon.

The name Chandler, a popular male character on the show Friends, has been rising among baby girls, with 303 girls and 455 boys taking the name.

Elon, yes, closely tied to Elon Musk, has been a controversial baby name, but 234 baby boys have been named it.

The next name on the list was Halo, meaning "she better be an angel," and has been given to 384 baby girls and even 45 baby boys.

The biblical name Jericho has skyrocketed in popularity, being given to 286 baby boys and 20 baby girls.

With a historical significance, 307 Baby boys have received the name Kaiser, and despite Game of Thrones ending in 2019, the name Khaleesi was grown, being given to 408 baby girls.

The devil's name, Lucifer, has even been given to 69 baby boys, rising from the 54 who received the name in 2020.

According to Nameberry, Mazikeen is a name that was inspired by a Hebrew word for harmful spirits, yet 277 baby girls still received the name.

Sandra saw a rise in 255 baby girls in 2021, and the name Stetson, or a hat, was given to 874 boys.
