Bab’s mixes baking soda, borax salt and laundry detergent into hot water in a bathtub.

She said: “Time for the pillow bath. Just place it in the water and submerge it with a wooden spoon. After 24 hours, check out this disgusting water.”

Overtime oils from your skin and hair build up on your pillows which causes the colour to stain.

Babs’ says: “Oh, my goodness. What you're seeing here are body oils, excess detergent, fabric softener, everything your washing machine just can't get out. Squeeze out the extra water in the pillow.”

The cleaning fan then puts her pillows in the wash and dryer.

She said: “Now into the washing machine on the normal cycle. No detergent. Now into the dryer they go. Don't use dryer sheets after stripping. Throwing dryer balls or tennis balls to fluff those pillows up.”

Babs also said it’s important to check the instructions on your pillows beforehand.

She said: “Remember to always check the label on your pillows. Memory foam and down pillows might not be recommended.”

The pillow cleaning video went viral with over 3.8 million views.
