CHOOSING the breed of dog to best suit you and your family is a tricky decision to make.

After all, there are so many different factors to consider – one of the most important being the breed's health tendencies.

Vet med Lindsey Whitlock, who posts under the acronym @dogtor_lindsey, recently took to TikTok and posted a video sharing six dog breeds that are "walking vet bills."

On Lindsey's list includes: Golden Doodles/any Doodle, Boxer, Cocker Spaniel, Shih Tzu, Pit Bull Terrier and a Sharpei.

She captioned the post: "Breeds that are a walking vet bill part TWO! Believe me, it’s more than just the brachycephalics!"

The post has since gone viral, racking up a whopping 913,000 views and hundreds of comments.

"We must be lucky. Our doodle isn’t a walking vet bill. More like a walking grooming bill," wrote one.

A third noted: "I was like wait why pit bull??? And then I remembered the thousands I’ve dropped on mines allergy issues."

Meanwhile, a fourth commented: "Totally correct on the boxers. But they are still my favourite."
