And they say romance is dead

A royal author has claimed that kind-hearted Kate helped William get through his studies by taking notes if he had to miss lectures.

According to Robert Lacey’s Battle of Brothers, “When William could not attend lectures, Kate sometimes took notes on his behalf, and both were residents of the same old Gothic-looking hall of residence – ‘St Sally’s’, with rooms quite close to each other.”

William later decided he wanted to switch courses to study Geography instead, but stayed close to Kate.

    The first

A royal author has claimed that Lilibet is ‘going to be the first ever American princess’.

Royal biographer Andrew Morton in his biography “Meghan and the Unmasking of the Monarchy” has pointed out that Lilibet is “going to be the first ever American princess”.

He added “I think America will embrace her as an American princess.”

Morton feels that the Sussexes children in the US will continue to capture the attention, even if Archie was born in the UK.

    Influence diminishing

Royal biographer Andrew Morton has said that Harry and Meghan’s influence is diminishing.

Morton said: “I think the irony is that Prince Charles and Prince William saw themselves as being the leaders of the slimmed down monarchy.

“In a way, Harry and Meghan have done them a favor by jumping ship, rather than being asked to walk the gangplank.”

The author believes Meghan and Harry would have played a supportive role under Charles and William, though they would have been lower down the “pecking order”, especially as William and Kate Middleton’s children grow older.

Harry to be banned from wearing military uniform (Continued…)

Despite his army record, he lost three honorary military titles including his treasured post as Captain General of the Royal Marines and is now a “civilian”.

Harry will celebrate five service members, veterans and military families living with “the invisible wounds of war”.

The Salute to Freedom gala takes place on a warship at the Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum on November 10.

A spokesman for the duke did not want to comment.

Harry to be banned from wearing military uniform when he dishes out awards

PRINCE Harry will be banned from wearing military uniform when he dishes out awards to forces heroes next week.

The war veteran — who served two tours in Afghanistan — will help hand out five prizes on board a warship in New York.

But he can no longer wear uniform as he was stripped of his honorary military titles when he quit royal duty for California.

Harry will instead have to wear black tie but can pin his four medals on his suit at the gala a day before Veterans Day.

Other war veterans and servicemen on the aircraft carrier are likely to be in full regalia.

The Royal Family all agreed to wear morning suits to “spare Harry’s blushes” at the Duke of Edinburgh’s funeral in April.

    Queens plans

It’s her “firm intention” to attend the Remembrance Day service at the Cenotaph on November 14.

Prince Charles will lay a wreath on behalf of his mother, as he has done in recent years, with the plan for her to again watch from a nearby balcony.

One source said: “That’s just unmissable, as far as the Queen is concerned.

“It is one of her most sacred duties.”

    The brothers rift

The brothers were said to be very close following the death of their mother but drifted apart as adults. Then came Meghan.

William is said to have expressed doubts about how suitable Meghan Markle would be as Harry’s bride, it’s claimed, and Harry was reportedly offended by William’s comments and stood up for his wife-to-be.

Then came Harry and Meghan moving away from William and Kate to Frogmore Cottage in Windsor.

There were reports of a “dictatorial” Harry allegedly taking issue with his brother, courtiers and servants for failing to “roll out the red carpet” for Meghan.

And people were quick to point out that William and Kate had not visited Frogmore to see Archie until eight days after his birth.

After that the relations went downhill.

    Meghan mocked by senator (Continued…)

Senator Capito said she was at the wheel when her private phone rang.

“I’m in my car. I’m driving. It says ‘caller ID blocked’,” the senator said.

“I thought it was Senator [Joe] Manchin. His calls come in blocked. And she goes, ‘Senator Capito?’ I said, ‘Yes?’ She said, ‘This is Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex.’”

This comes as furious republicans have told Meghan Markle to “stick to acting” following her “politically motivated” letter to Congress.

The Duchess of Sussex wrote a lengthy plea to two Democratic lawmakers in Washington DC in which she advocated for paid family leave.

But now incensed politicians have hit back at Megan for daring to “intervene” in US politics – even calling on the Queen to strip the royal of her titles.

Royal experts had previously called her letter, addressed to Democrats Chuck Schumer and Nancy Pelosi, a “first try” for the Duchess to move into politics.

Meghan Markle brutally mocked by US senator

MEGHAN Markle was brutally mocked by a US senator after she cold-called politicians and introduced herself as the Duchess of Sussex.

Senator Susan Collins, from Maine, claimed she was more interested in what her constituents have to say than the former Royal.

The Duchess cold-called a number of politicians on their private phones and used her royal title to lobby for paid paternity leave.

She called Republican Senators Susan Collins from Maine and Shelley Moore Capito from West Virginia – and both said they were shocked that Meghan called out of the blue.

Recalling the conversation she had with Meghan, Ms Collins said: “Much to my surprise, she called me on my private line and she introduced herself as the Duchess of Sussex, which is kind of ironic.

“I was happy to talk with her, but I’m more interested in what the people of Maine are telling me about it.”

    Trip to Wood Farm

Philip, who died in April, had spent his retirement on the farm before returning to Windsor Castle with the Queen last September for lockdown.

The Duke of Edinburgh lived in the cottage after retiring in August, 2017 as the Queen carried on working at Buckingham Palace.

Despite her flight, her Royal Standard flag — which denotes when the Queen is in residence — has continued to fly at Windsor Castle.

It is understood that the standard remains at the castle because her full official court of staff and servants have not travelled with her.

    Royal round-up

    • We shared how Prince Harry had poster of Halle Berry on his wall at school while Wills preferred blondes, says author.
    • Meanwhile, William used to smother Harry in kisses as a young boy and showed him off proudly like his ‘favourite toy’.
    • And Kate Middleton was known as ‘Fit Kate’ by pals and lads were jealous of people who dated her.

Piers wants royal title stripped from Meghan

PIERS Morgan has demanded that Meghan Markle is stripped of her royal title – after she cold-called politicians as the Duchess of Sussex.

The TV firebrand, a long-standing critic of Meghan and Harry, kicked off after learning the royal is allegedly lobbying Republican senators on their private phones.

He tweeted: “Just outrageous for Princess Pinocchio to use her royal title for political lobbying like this.

“The Queen must stop the Sussexes causing such endless damage to the monarchy’s reputation.

    “Take their titles away.”

Kate gives rare glimpse inside her everyday bag

AT first glance, Prince William and Kate Middleton could have passed for everyday commuters as they walked up the platform at Glasgow Central Station earlier this week.

Ahead of the COP26 climate change conference, the Duchess of Cambridge cut a casual figure in black skinny jeans, a green quilted gilet and grey jumper.

In a photo posted on Network Rail’s Twitter account, the mum-of-three was pictured carrying a £645 Smythson tote bag.

And if you look really closely, you can make out what Kate takes with her while on-duty.

The most obviously visible thing in the black leather bag is a silver folder – suggesting the Duchess was getting some work done on the five-hour journey.

A step in the right direction

Harry and Meghan have pledged they will work towards being completely carbon neutral by 2030 as everyone has to do their bit to save the planet.

But what does the term ‘net zero’ mean?

Under the Paris climate change agreement, hundreds of countries agreed to end emitting any more greenhouse gases into the atmosphere.

Greenhouse gases are chemicals like Carbon dioxide and nitric oxide which cannot escape the Earth’s atmosphere – forming a layer at the outer edge which traps heat inside – hence ‘global warming’.

No individual is subject to the agreement – but many companies and high profile people are making the pledge to do their bit.

    ‘Years’ in the making

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle reportedly ended up planning their bombshell interview with Oprah Winfrey “years in advance.”

Royal biographer Andrew Morton made this claim while speaking to CTV’S Your Morning.

CTV’S Your Morning is a Canadian breakfast television program.

There Andrew admitted: “They were planning the big Oprah interview several years before it actually happened.”

Prince Harry had never used these everyday items before joining the military

When Prince Harry left behind his palace upbringing to join the military, his eyes were opened in more ways than one, claims a royal author.

For starters, the 20-year-old prince was given some common everyday items he had never used before.

According to Robert Lacey’s biography Battle of Brothers, Harry enjoyed living life “just like everyone else.”

The royal author wrote: “That summer of 2005 saw the perpetual ‘spare’ setting off to the Royal Military Academy to start his officer training.

“On arrival, along with every other cadet, Harry had his head completely shaved and was assigned a room not much larger or different in character than a prison cell.

“He was given his own iron and ironing board, which he had never used before – and he later admitted that Sandhurst was the first time in his life that he wielded a lavatory brush.”

      Presidency personality

Thomas Markle Jr, 55, says the politics-savvy Duchess of Sussex shares the same “determination and drive” as other presidential hopefuls.

In an interview amid his appearance on Australia’s Big Brother VIP, Thomas Jr told New Idea Magazine: “She obviously has that personality, and that determination and drive, it wouldn’t surprise me.

“I just know, whatever endeavour she endures and puts her hands on she will do good things.

“I wish her the best of luck, but absolutely if that’s what she’s going to put her sights on, she’ll go for it.”

She would hardly be the first celebrity occupant of the White House.

      Meghan Markle ‘cold calling’ politicians

MEGHAN Markle has been “cold calling” politicians on their private phones and using her royal title to lobby for paid paternity leave, according to a senator.

The Duchess, 40, has called two “shocked” Republican senators on their private numbers in a bid to use her influence to get them to vote for the rights, it’s been revealed.

According to Senator Kirsten Gillibrand, Meghan is now hoping to be part of “a working group to work on paid leave long term”.

She called Republican Senators Susan Collins from Maine and Shelley Moore Capito from West Virginia – and both said they were shocked that Meghan called out of the blue.

They also noted that she used her royal title to lobby the cause.

Senator Collins said: “I was happy to talk with her, but I’m more interested in what people from Maine are telling me about paid leave”.

Queen, 95, driven around Sandringham during mini-break

THE Queen has been pictured being drive around Sandringham today on a mini-break after being told to rest up.

The 95-year-old monarch headed to her estate in Norfolk earlier this week.

Royal doctors cleared the 95-year-old monarch to take a 50-minute helicopter flight.

She is resting at Sandringham after an overnight stay in hospital last month.

Her Majesty was seen smiling while wearing a headscarf and sunglasses while being driven in in the A-Bio Sdv8 diesel car.

She was heading towards Wood Farm on the estate which she often visited with her late-husband Prince Philip around this time of year.

      True feelings on show

A BODY language expert has claimed that Prince Harry made a gesture at the end of his Oprah Winfrey interview that showed his true feelings towards the Royal Family.

Speaking on his YouTube channel, Jesus Enrique Rosas said Harry began to laugh as the credits started, before catching himself and allegedly mimicking sadness.

He said: “You’ll be surprised by how someone’s real attitude and emotions can show when they think the cameras are not rolling anymore. And, Harry and Meghan are not an exception.

“Saying that Harry was forced to do this [interview] doesn’t make sense, because how come he was laughing at the end?

“So, going back to the clip at the end of Oprah’s interview and after doing a systemic analysis of intentions, and what has happened since then – realising that Harry has been absolutely in control of his actions all this time.”

      Shocking claims

Meghan Markle’s brother, Thomas, wrote public letter in 2018 in which he branded her up-coming marriage to Harry at “fake fairy tale” and it would be the “biggest mistake in royal wedding history”.

He had also previously described her as a “phony”, a bully, and a “jaded, shallow, conceited woman.”

Despite Thomas’s latest outburst about his sister he nevertheless said he want to make up with her – which again prompted gasps from the housemates.

“Yes I’ll answer the phone if she picks up the phone,” he said.

“Everybody has always loved Meghan, everybody has always supported Meghan.

“I mean I may say bad things about her, I may write horrible letters about her but the end result is that I do love my sister.”

Earlier he branded the duchess “shallow” and said she will dump Harry, the same way she “walked all over” her first husband Trevor Engelson.

      Not buying it

MEGHAN Markle’s brother has said he “doesn’t 100 per cent buy” her claims of battling with mental-health problems.

Thomas Markle Jr told housemates on Australia’s Big Brother VIP he didn’t agree with the allegations made by the Duchess of Sussex in her bombshell interview with Oprah Winfrey.

Speaking to his Big Brother housemates as he was interviewed by the show’s presenters, Thomas took issue with his sister’s claim.

“I don’t 100 per cent buy that and I don’t agree with some of the things on the Oprah interview like not having those services available. I can’t imagine being that sheltered. “
