Although she was in the comfort of her own home, Camilla was pictured yesterday wearing a stunning blue and white dress with a pair of low heels. The Duchess welcomed a group of women who have been supported by the Prince’s Trust to Clarence House.

The Prince’s Trust was founded by the Prince of Wales to help young people gain skills and confidence through free courses.

The charity’s aim is to aid individuals to kick start their careers.

Yesterday, September 3, Camilla spoke and had tea with six young women who had been supported by the Prince’s Trust, ahead of the organisation’s Brilliant Breakfast campaign.

Clarence House shared information about the campaign on Twitter, saying: “The Brilliant Breakfast aims to raise funds to help develop the confidence and skills of young women needed to secure jobs or start their own businesses.”

The Duchess of Cornwall wore a long floral dress for the occasion.

The dress was white and covered with small dark blue and royal blue flowers.

It featured a wide, open collar and a pleated skirt.

Although the dress’ thin material and the black buttons running down its centre made it seem casual, the skirt’s pleats smartened the outfit and made it look elegant.

Camilla has a knack for making a smart-casual look work, and she paired the dress with nude-coloured low heels.

When wearing florals, a neutral shoe colour is essential, claimed personal stylist and fashion expert Samantha Harman.

She said: “Accessories are also really important when wearing florals. The wrong shoes or handbag can drain all the joy from the print.

“So choose neutrals, like the Duchess. A nude shoe will elongate your legs.”

While the heels smartened the outfit, the Duchess’ buttoned blue cardigan pared it back.

As for jewellery, Camilla donned her usual duo of gold bracelets, as well as a rarer blue piece.

The gold bracelet is by iconic French designer Van Cleef & Arpels and features royal blue gems in the shape of four-leaf clovers.

Called the Vintage Alhambra yellow-gold and onyx bracelet, the jewel costs a whopping £3,350.

As for earrings, Camilla wore a dangling gold pair with tiny pearls hanging from the ends.

Although the Duchess’ dress has rarely been seen in the past, Camilla often wears blue.

According to Samantha, this colour suits her best and “brings out her eyes”.

She said: “This is such a great colour on the Duchess.

“As you get older, it’s tempting to opt for muted or darker colours, but as the Duchess proves here – bright colour can make you look so vibrant.

“With Camilla, I would say the older she gets the more fashionable she has become.

“She comes across as a woman who really knows who she is and what she likes.

“And, particularly over the last couple of years, she has worn some amazing, fashion-forward pieces.”
