Asda warn Christmas delivery slots already booked up – act now supermarket cautions

Asda states on its website: “Unfortunately the majority of our Christmas slots are full between the 21st and 23rd December. Please check other dates or find your local store.”

This is likely to worry those still looking for Christmas delivery slots.

What about other supermarkets? Tesco’s Festive Food to Order slots went live last month.

The website states: “We’re experiencing high demand for slots around Christmas.

“We’re sorry if you’re not able to book your preferred slot.”

Asda explain how to ensure a safe shopping experience

Tesco does offer those signed up to its Delivery Saver offer priority access to prime time slots.

This includes early access to delivery slots at Christmas and Easter.

Sadly the supermarket is pausing sign-ups to the service due to “the high demand for online slots.”

It says: “We’ll open sign-ups again when we can.

At Sainsbury’s the advice is: “Plan ahead and beat the rush by securing your delivery slot well in advance.”

The supermarket adds: “Our Christmas week slots are filling up fast.

“If you can’t see a delivery slot available for the date you’d like, why not try Click & Collect? We’ve expanded our contactless Click & Collect service to over 300 locations.”

Getting your Christmas order is essential to enjoy the big day.

However, it is still possible to shop in-store.

In fact, this is still encouraged for those who are not at risk to allow those shielding to access all they need.
