With I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here less than two weeks away, celebrities have been spotted arriving in Wales to begin their time in quarantine.
Among them is singer Frankie Bridge, who has reportedly signed up to the challenge.
Following in her husband Wayne Bridge’s footsteps – who competed in 2016 and finished in fifth place – Frankie is already a firm favourite among I’m A Celeb fans.
But despite being favourite to win, with bookies stating that her odds are at 4/1 to become the new queen of the castle, The Saturdays star has previously said that she’d be “screwed” if she were to set foot in the jungle.
After her husband, former Chelsea footballer, Wayne said that he thoroughly enjoyed his time in Australia, Frankie revealed that she didn’t think she’d perform as well on the show.
“I would be so scared, I'm such a wimp, if I did it, it would be purely to test myself,” she told Mirror Online.
With food Bushtucker Trials seeing campmates tackle jungle delicacies including cockroach milkshakes, fermented egg and fish eyes, the 32 year old admitted that the eating challenges were a big no-no.
“The worst possible thing for me would be to eat something weird because like I can't even eat ketchup so for me to eat some sort of kangaroo willy or the juice drink thing, I don't know if I could do it,” she said.
“Or even the things they eat for dinner, at one point Wayne was sucking the head of some blue bird and I was like what are you doing?"
And with Wayne, 41, volunteering to descend into a tank alongside a crocodile, spiders and an array of other insects while on the hit ITV show, Frankie’s apprehensions may see her take a very different approach.
“I am claustrophobic, I hate spiders, I don't love snakes but I would take a snake over a spider and I couldn't do a sky dive.
“So, all in all I'd be screwed, but yeah, I'm up for it,” she added.
But despite her fears, the Loose Women panellist explained that she wanted to give I’m A Celeb her best shot.
“I think now Wayne's done it and he loved it and he said he would do it again, it kind of makes me feel positive that I would enjoy it,” she said.
The singer turned TV personality is set to make Gwrych Castle her home on 21 November after reports that ITV chiefs offered her a bumper deal.
“She is nervous about leaving Wayne and the boys for such a long time, but she is determined to give the challenge her all and really throw herself in," a source told The Sun.
“Though with the show in Wales this year, Wayne, unfortunately, won't be much help for tips.”
