On Tuesday 11 May, we saw celebrities and singers take to the red carpet of the 2021 Brit Awards.
The likes of Dua Lipa paid homage to two iconic Brits outfits with one being Spice GirlGeri Halliwell’s Gucci Union Jack dress and the other Amy Winehouse with her updo hairstyle.
However, amongst the fabulous fashion moments was the arrival of one reality star that stole the show.
TOWIE diva Gemma Collins debuted her weight loss in a floor length metallic gown by stylist and designer Heyami.
Even more sparkle was added to the outfit as Gemma showed off her great curves in an embellished corset created by True Corsets.
However one feature that really caught our eyes was the thigh high split which broke up the reflective look and showed off Gemma’s fabulous pins.
Naturally diva’s stick together and sport the same silhouette’s as we have seen many celebrities over the years sport the daring thigh high split and it’s now become a staple detail on the red carpets.
Taking to her Instagram on Wednesday, Queen Beyonce posted an ultra glamorous photo of herself sporting a black button up dress by designer Alessandra Rich.
The dress not only showed off the singer’s incredible curves but also her toned legs as it came with a revealing thigh high split.
It goes without saying that these women know how to catch everyone’s attention with their impeccable outfit choices.

However, when you dive into where this trend came from, there is one outfit in particular that will go down in history as the iconic thigh high split dress which even triggered a new way of posing on the red carpets.
Back in 2012, Hollywood actress Angelina Jolie took to the carpet of the Oscars wearing a perfect black velvet gown by Atelier Versace.
The wow moment came from the dramatic thigh high split which Angelina took as an opportunity to show off her killer legs.
From Kendall Jenner to Jennifer Lopez to even our lover of risqué looks Amanda Holden, we have seen multiple female celebrities sport the same look over the years.
We don’t see this key design detail going anywhere soon and we can’t wait to see more celebrities show off their flawless figures in-person as events start to resume with lockdown restrictions ease.
