What are Tesco’s opening hours on New Year's Eve?
New Year's Eve is not a bank holiday so many retailers will be open as usual, but hours may be reduced at some stores.
This year, New Year's Eve falls on a Friday, so it's up to individual retailers to decide their trading hours.
Sunday trading for stores will depend on the size of the store and bigger ones are usually open 10am-4pm.
Smaller Tesco stores area usually open for longer, from around 9am to 6pm at Tesco Extras and Express sites open at 9am and close at 7pm.
Times are different from store to store though so check with your local to see if it's any different.
To avoid a wasted journey you can find your nearest store to check the specific timings with the supermarket's locator tool, – just enter your postcode.
