M&S mocked over aubergine-shaped Easter egg that ‘belongs in Ann Summers’

Shoppers at Marks and Spencer have been left excited by the store's numerous announcements about it's new Easter products over the last few weeks.

However, it's latest product has left them shocked.

M&S took to it's Instagram page to reveal it is now selling a suggestive-looking aubergine-shaped Easter egg, as part of its vegan chocolate offerings for the season.

The brand share a photo of eggplant-shaped product in and out of it's packaging.

The caption, which came complete with aubergine emojis, read: "Stop scrolling: our 'Egg-Plant Kitchen' vegan Easter egg is here to brighten up your January in all its aubergine-shaped glory.

"You can thank us later. Pick it up in store now!"

Despite many food fans loving the egg, others asked M&S if they knew what the aubergine emoji was regularly used for it text conversations (men's nether regions).

One exclaimed: "It’s not April fools yet M&S! Do you what the aubergine emoji is used for? Crying."

Another added: "I can see that being a Valentine gift for the aubergine emoji fans."

A third chimed in: "Have you ever seen anything more hilarious!!?"

While a fourth cheeky fan branded the egg: "C**kolate".

And another responder even joked: "I wonder if Ann Summers will be selling them as well!"

Marks and Spencer also released some more innocent-looking sweet treats this week for shoppers to enjoy.

The supermarket revealed it will now be selling giant chocolate Colin the Caterpillar faces, which are available for just £1.

M&S has also announced new Percy Pig Pancakes, which are made with dessert sauce and apple & raspberry jelly pieces.

We certainly can't wait to get our hands on the brand's latest offerings.
