My sister didn’t invite me on a family holiday even though I thought we had made up – The Sun

DEAR DEIDRE: MY sister has planned a big family holiday but she hasn’t invited me and I’m so hurt.

I am 28 and single, she is 33 and married with a little boy.

We fell out ten years ago when I said horrible teenagery things which I later regretted.

We made up last year and have been getting on great.

But she has organised a villa holiday in Spain this summer with our parents, her in-laws and her husband’s sister and partner and their kids – but not invited me.

It’s as if she is closer to her husband’s family than me even though I said sorry.

Am I overreacting?

DEIDRE SAYS: My guess is she thinks you wouldn’t enjoy a holiday focused around children.

And maybe you wouldn’t, but you’re feeling sensitive because of the earlier rift between you and your sister.

Suggest the two of you get a weekend away together for some sisterly bonding while her husband looks after their children.
