TOP Manchester United target Bruno Fernandes has hinted he might be open to interest from Liverpool – after saying he prefers the Champions League winners to Premier League champions City.
United are strong favourites to sign Sporting Lisbon's Portugal midfielder, 24, who notched 18 goals and 13 assists in 31 league games for the Portuguese runners-up this season.
But, just before Liverpool beat Spurs 2-0 in the Euro final, Fernandes told Portugal's media: “I like Liverpool a lot more [than Man City].
“It’s a more direct, more offensive, maybe less organised, but more intense football.“When you do not have the ball possession, you are more intense.”

Old Trafford boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is reportedly keen to integrate the England Under-21 defender into first-team training next month.
Tuanzebe, 21, progressed rapidly as Villa revived to finish fifth and then beat Derby 2-1 in the Championship play-off final.

MANCHESTER UNITED are leaning towards Aaron Wan-Bissaka over Kieran Trippier in their hunt for a right-back.
That's the claim from reports suggesting United fear Tottenham's England's star Trippier will be too costly.
The Mirror say Spurs chairman Daniel Levy is likely to demand more than £30million for the 28-year-old, who started tonight's Champions League final.
That means United could rate Crystal Palace's Wan-Bissaka, 21, as the better long-term option.
The England Under-21 ace would cost around £45m but has huge potential.

ROMELU LUKAKU needs a big pay-off from Manchester United to join Inter Milan, reports say.
The Belgium striker is said to be keen on joining Antonio Conte's Serie A giants as he fears Old Trafford boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will play Marcus Rashford ahead of him next season.
But the Mirror suggest Inter have no chance of getting anywhere near either Lukaku's £195,000 weekly wages or the £75million fee United paid Everton for him in July 2017.
So the 26-year-old might be stranded unless United decide offloading him is more important than getting the type of price they want.
