MANCHESTER UNITED youngster Anthony Elanga is reportedly close to penning a new contract at Old Trafford.
Interim boss Ralf Rangnick has been impressed by the 19-year-old since arriving at the club earlier this month.
And now the winger is on the verge of signing a new long-term deal, according to the Telegraph.
Elanga signed a new deal as recently as March, but is set to be rewarded again with an improved contract.
After not featuring in a Premier League squad under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer this season, Rangnick immediately named him on the bench against Crystal Palace, even bringing him on for the last 14 minutes.
Elanga also made the squad for the 1-0 win away at Norwich, and started the Champions League clash against Young Boys.
He has been in the United set-up since the age of 12 after joining from Swedish club Malmo.
Solskjaer gave Elanga his debut in May this year against Leicester, but the winger found game time hard to come by under the axed boss.

He has featured five times in total for the senior side since his maiden game.
Elanga's call-up to the first team has irked Sweden boss Janne Andersson, who had been hoping to include him in a 24-man touring squad to Portugal in January.
Speaking to Sweden Football, he said: "We would have liked to have had Anthony on the January tour.
"At the same time it is very funny that he has started to get playing time at Manchester United.
"We will continue to follow Anthony closely in the future."
