But even after a dressing down, the attacking midfielder still looked 'confused'.
The Gunners were soundly beaten 2-0 by the Blues at Emirates Stadium, with first half strikes by Romelu Lukaku and Reece James sealing their fate.

And the Spaniard appears to be feeling the frustration himself.
According to Football London, the 39-year-old could be seen at one point 'angrily gesticulating' at Smith Rowe.
Arteta was said to be fuming at the 21-year-old for 'not pressing high enough'.
But FL claim that even receiving a shellacking from his boss, Smith Rowe still appeared 'uncertain' as to what to do.

He may have enraged his boss, but the Gunners academy graduate attracted praise from elsewhere yesterday.
Chelsea legend John Terry watched the game at home on TV.
And he was struck by Smith Rowe's performance.
He wrote on Instagram: "@EmileSmithRowe is a player."
The 40-year-old then followed the caption with three clapping emojis.
