A HUNGOVER punter who admits he 'couldn't pick a horse to save my life' is celebrating after winning £60,000 on a racing bet.
The bettor landed the life-changing windfall after a monster 2,267-1 four-timer came in a week before Christmas.
He has already given a share of his spoils to family, plans to give more to charity and is also looking to get shares in a horse.
Mike, a 56-year-old punter from Durham, was still feeling the effects of the work Christmas party when he placed his bet.
He told the Racing Post he woke up 'rough as a dog from partying all night' but laid down a hefty £270 on a series of bets made up of five selections in all.
Mike chose some each-way doubles, trebles and two four-timers made up of the picks advised by the Post's legendary tipster Pricewise.
A little dusty from the night before, Mike missed the first race and mistakenly thought one of his selections had lost.
But then his luck changed as the afternoon wore on and the results from Ascot and Haydock came in.

He said: "I woke up as rough as a dog from partying all night and I looked at my phone and saw the screenshot of the Pricewise picks I had sent my wife the night before.
"I just decided to put them all on the one bookmaker as I didn't have much time, even though it was a little pricey.
"I normally would have sat down and watched all the racing, but I missed the start and heard Champ had won.
"Thinking he was in a race with one of the selections I thought I'd lost one, so I just checked to see how I was getting on.
"That's when I saw three wins and I had half an hour before the final race to wait in anticipation."
Mike couldn't cash out his bets but had two picks in the final leg.
He needed either 8-1 Tritonic or 9-1 Garry Clermont to win or place in the Grade 3 Betfair Exchange Trophy at Ascot.
'OH MY GOD, HE'S GOING TO DO IT'
Incredibly, the Alan King-trainer Tritonic won while Garry Clermont finished third.
Mike, whose wife also pocketed £40 from the same tips, said: "I was a little bit all over the place.
"I've still got the race recorded and I've watched it a few times. I get nervous even watching it now.
"Tritonic started to pull away two out and all he needed to do was jump the last. I kept thinking 'oh my God, he's going to do it' over and over again.
"I had no idea how much it was, I kept pressing the refresh button on the account."
When all was said and done a whopping £60,993 was sitting in there.
A longtime follower of Pricewise, Mike added: "I'm not part of the horseracing game, I'm on the outside looking in.
"I couldn't pick a horse to save my life, but I don't need to because someone is paid to do it and they put their reputation and neck on the line, so that's good enough for me."
A few people landed big jackpots last month, including this punter who won £19,500 from a £16 stake.
But spare a thought for this bloke, who cashed out early only to see his final selection win, costing him £10,000.
