Luka Modric is huge favourite over Cristiano Ronaldo and Mohamed Salah for Uefa Men's Player of the Year award

LUKA MODRIC is favourite to scoop the Uefa Men's Player of the Year award ahead of Cristiano Ronaldo and Mohamed Salah.

The Real Madrid star is priced at 11/10 after winning Player of the Tournament at the World Cup alongside lifting the Champions League with Real Madrid.

The midfielder was an inspirational figure for Croatia in Russia, helping them to shock World Cup final – this was after he lifted his third consecutive Champions League title with Madrid.

Ronaldo is priced at 6/4 to scoop the award, with the Juventus star in the running to win the trophy for a record third time.

CR7 netted 15 times in the Champions League last term, adding to his 27 La Liga goals.

Meanwhile Salah's stunning season for Liverpool sees him bottom of the pile in Betfair's eyes, despite scoring 44 goals last season.

The Egyptian international becomes the first Premier League player, as well as the first African footballer, to be shortlisted for the trophy.
