Man Utd, Arsenal and Liverpool set for three-way transfer battle for Brighton midfielder Yves Bissouma in January

MANCHESTER UNITED, Arsenal and Liverpool are set to battle it out for Brighton star Yves Bissouma, according to reports.

The £40million-rated midfielder has drawn admiring glances with his performances for Brighton.

Graham Potter's side managed to fend off any interest over the summer with their price tag.

But they may not be so lucky in January.

According to Metro's Aden-Jay Wood, 'several clubs' including Man United, Arsenal and Liverpool have 'long-standing interest' in Bissouma.

Surprisingly, Brighton received no official bids for the 25-year-old over the summer.

But interest could be 'revisited' in January.

Bissouma has entered the final two years of his Brighton contract.

He is said tobe happy on the South Coast after spending three years there.

The Malian joined Brighton from Lille in 2018 and has gone on to make 99 appearances for the club.

He has played every minute of their current Premier League campaign to date, notching an assist in the 2-0 win over Watford.

Potential suitors Arsenal have already dealt with Brighton earlier this summer.

The Gunners long coveted Ben White before finally caving in and paying the Seagulls' £50m valuation.
