Montana Yao divorcing Malik Beasley after Larsa Pippen dating controversy

Malik Beasley is now free to hold hands in public with Larsa Pippen.

E! is reporting that Beasley’s wife, Montana Yao, is filing for divorce just days after the scandal became public.

“Montana filed for a divorce the day she saw the photos,” an insider told the site. “Montana never cheated, and it’s not in her character. She’s not dating anybody. She’s a family person. She’s focusing on taking care of her son with her parents. They are quarantining together. Her son is her first priority.”

On Tuesday, images surfaced of the Timberwolves guard with Pippen, 46, during a Nov. 23 outing in Miami. Yao was said to have been “blindsided” by the shots, per TMZ.

Prior to his controversial outing with Pippen, the 24-year-old Beasley said he wanted to take the mother of four on a date, asking her out via an Instagram comment.

“I just want to take you on a date and treat you like a queen,” Beasley wrote Nov. 16 on a Pippen post, according to a screenshot from Comments by Athletes.

But prior to news of the divorce filing, sources told The Post that the couple have been living separate lives. Yao — who has a child with Beasley — has been previously linked to Broncos safety Su’a Cravens, whom Beasley got into an altercation with last year.

Yao also spoke out on social media in regard to the images.

“I’ve always and will forever remain true to who I am and God has never let me down,” she posted Tuesday on her Instagram story. “The truth always comes out one way or another…”

“Wow… I don’t even know this man… this is wild y’all I’m seeing it for the first time just like y’all,” Yao wrote in a separate message.

On Wednesday, Pippen — who filed for divorce from NBA legend Scottie Pippen in 2018 — also posted a telling message on Instagram.

“Don’t always trust what you see on social media. Even salt looks like sugar,” she wrote.

Pippen’s 20-year-old son, Scotty Pippen Jr., also addressed the internet buzz Tuesday on Twitter.

“Focused on myself and my goals. I’m not responsible for nobody’s actions. All good over here,” he tweeted.

Pippen was photographed Wednesday returning to her home in Miami.
