Odell Beckham ruled out for rest of Browns game with knee injury

Odell Beckham Jr. suffered a knee injury on the Browns’ second offensive play against the Bengals Sunday while attempting to make a tackle after quarterback Baker Mayfield threw an interception that was intended for the star wide receiver.

Mayfield was targeting Beckham before he was intercepted by Cincinnati cornerback Darius Phillips. Beckham tried to switch gears and chase Phillips down before he collided into traffic and fell to the turf.

The Browns announced that Beckham would not return for the remainder of the game.

Beckham, who is in his second season in Cleveland, headed directly to the locker room without making a stop at the injury tent.

In his first six games this season, Beckham recorded 23 receptions for 319 yards and three touchdowns. Since the Giants traded him to Cleveland in March 2019, Beckham has collected 97 receptions for 1,354 yards with seven touchdowns in 22 games.
