Rugby star suffers broken jaw after horror tackle as officials ‘look for his missing teeth’ on the pitch | The Sun

RUGBY star Danny Levi was left with a broken jaw and missing teeth after a horror tackle during an NRL Australian rugby match.

Raiders star Levi was forced off after just two minutes following a collision with Sharks forward Teig Wilton.

He left the field with a bloodied face as the medical team attended to his needs.

Commentator Warren Smith said: "He’s got a real problem here Levi."

Fellow broadcaster Cooper Cronk added: "He looked at the touchline straight away as he came reeling out of the contest.

"He looks in all sorts of trouble, Danny Levi."

At half-time, officials were then forced to go onto the pitch and look for Levi's missing teeth.

During the break, former NRL star Mick Ennis told Fox League: "NRL officials are currently on the ground looking for Danny Levi’s teeth."

In the second half, Smith updated viewers, saying: "We had NRL officials out there at the break looking for at least one tooth out there on the turf at GIO Stadium.

"They might be out there again at full-time if they didn’t locate it. Looked to be the case that they came up empty."

Despite missing Levi for almost the entirety of the match, Raiders did manage to secure their first victory of the season.

They secured a 24-20 win, surviving a late comeback from the Sharks to recover from successive defeats at the start of the campaign.

Corey Horsburgh proved to be the difference for the Raiders as the bench prop scored two tries to hand his side the two points.
