A FEW extracts from Klopp's press conference, which has now come to a close in Madrid.

Mauricio Pochettino is scheduled next at 5.45pm BST.

Klopp: “I respect a lot what Pochettino did – he had a talented group and how they improve together is really impressive. I like that.

“But if Ajax had been in the final it would have been deserved as well. It's a real football final, now both have to deal with that because it makes the game pretty intense.

“Since 2012, apart from 2017, I was with my team in a final. Sometimes by luck, but in the last seven years I am world record holder in winning semi-finals. I'm a normal human being.

“There can be moments that are unlucky and lucky, but I cannot change that. I understand luck as if you work for it then you get it from time to time.

“The games against Tottenham this season – it was 2-1 both times.

“There's no advantage before the game but we can work for opportunities in the game tomorrow – but only tomorrow. Not in this moment.

“This is a big club, a wonderful club and we fell in love with each other and we will work together for more years.”

SPANISH police have arrested six people and have seized around 2,000 Champions League final counterfeit goods, writes Richard Forrester.

Officers are attempting to crackdown on illegal sales on merchandise and tickets with each side designated 16,000 seats inside the Wanda Metropolitano Stadium.

Spurs have already dished out life-time bans to three supporters who tried to sell their tickets online.

But it appears there is a huge problem with bogus tickets and goods being flogged in and around Madrid.

A statement revealed by Spanish police revealed that the issue is far more prevalent than first feared.

It read: “Six people arrested and more than 2000 products intervened, all of them falsified and related to the Champions League final.

“It is the result of a joint intervention carried out with the @policia, @LFC and @SpursOfficial.”

Another three were arrested yesterday for selling tickets just yards away from the official box office.

The fans had 21 false tickets in their possession with just under £3,000 worth of cash.

Klopp confirms that the Brazilian is fit and ready to feature – but understandably doesn't say whether he will start.

“He is ready. He is fit and if nothing happens he should be fine.

“If Poch tells you his starting line up then ring me up and I’ll tell you whether he does!”.

HERE comes Liverpool boss Klopp and he's straight in with that beaming grin.

What have you learnt from last year's final, Jurgen?

“That a bicycle kick from 18 metres can be a goal”. Fair play.

FIRST up in the presser and it's full-back pairing Trent Alexander-Arnold and Andy Robertson.

Alexander-Arnold: "In terms of quality, it is quite even, they have world class players, we have world class players.

“It's a fight to the end to see who wants it more.

“We know there's a lot of support for Liverpool here. All the lads will put everything on the line for the fans. However, they will all be able to celebrate tomorrow night.

“We respect all teams but we play with a certain style and try not to change that for any team.

“If we sit back & let Tottenham get on top of us, that’s when they are at the best. It’s best for us to be high up the pitch.”
