Muroor, who last won in August 2019, also provided trainer Victor Thompson with his first winner in 579 days.
That was back on April 6, 2019.
Amazingly, it didn't look like the horse would go anywhere close to winning until the very end of the 2m 3f Class 5 race.
Always towards the back of the pack, a faller at the 11th fence hampered Muroor's progress.
But jockey Shane Quinlan steadied the ship and, three fences from home, his ride was making nice headway.
Approaching the last, Muroor was pretty much neck and neck with two other horses and jumped the final fence level with 18-5 chance Grand Coureur.
They landed level but Muroor pushed on once he hit the turf and ended up winning by half a length.
Fans watching at home were stunned.
