Toyah Battersby is left reeling in Coronation Street in upcoming scenes as Imran Habeeb's mum Saira returns to the cobbles.

The Weatherfield residents agree to meet to discuss scattering Imran's ashes following the tragic car accident, but Saira reveals she has already buried them.

After revealing to Toyah that she knows about her relationship with Spider Nugent, Toyah is horrified after Saira implies that she had a role in Imran's death.

Will Saira believe that Toyah had nothing to do with Imran's death? Viewers will have to wait and see.

Since making her debut as Saira Habeeb in 2016, actress Kim Vithana has become a favourite with Coronation Street viewers – but did you know she also had a role in another rival soap?

EastEnders fame

Although Kim Vithana has made numerous appearances in Coronation Street since 2016, the star had a major role on another rival soap.

In 2015, the actress appeared in 12 episodes of popular BBC soap EastEnders as Dr. Margaret Badini, before making her first appearance as Saira Habeeb in Coronation Street over one year later.

That's not all, as Kim has been a familiar face on our TV screens for over three decades, after making her TV debut in Family Pride in 1991.

From there it has been onwards and upwards for the star, with appearances in Always And Everyone, Silent Witness, Casualty, Holby City and more recently, hit Netflix series The Stranger.

Although Kim Vithana has been one of the most familiar faces on our TV screens throughout the years, not much is known about her personal life.

The star seems to keep her personal life private, and it is not known if she is single or in a relationship.

Forgotten Corrie roles

While soap fans may know Kim as Imran Habeeb's mum Saira, the actress has had a number of roles in Coronation Street since 1997.

She first made her cobbles debut as a solicitor called Frances 'Frankie' Stillman, who worked alongside Weatherfield icon Mike Baldwin – and also helped him with a number of dodgy schemes.

Kim later returned to Coronation Street over nine years later in 2006, when she played a psychiatrist at Weatherfield General Hospital called Doctor Bannerjee.

It was not too long a wait between her next appearance either, as the actress returned to Coronation Street in 2009 to play another doctor, who helped Simon Barlow following injuries sustained in a fire.

Ageless appearance

Despite her countless Corrie roles, Kim is fondly known as Saira Habeeb – with viewers taking to social media after they discovered the actress's real age.

Fans gushed over the star, 53, after they commented on her ageless appearance, with many saying she looked too young to play his mum.

One fan said: "I'm sorry but how old is Imran's mum? She's too young to be his mum," while a second added: "Wow did Imran's mum have him when she was 10?"

A third commented: "Imran's mum looks way too young."

Coronation Street airs Monday, Wednesday and Friday on ITV at 8pm
