DANNY Miller has revealed he's already filmed his last days on Emmerdale after quitting the show for I'm A Celebrity… Get Me Out of her.
The soap star, 30, has played Aaron Dingle in the ITV soap since 2008.
But yesterday it was revealed that the actor has decided to leave the show after 13 long years portraying the much-loved mechanic.
Danny recently opened up about why he decided to take part in the 21st series of I'm A Celebrity during a chat with Ross Grant on the most recent episode of the Act On This podcast.
He said: "I know I can go and do that show, get as far as I can in it and try help give another career path for myself and for my family next year, that would potentially give other opportunities more so than that would give me now.
"Whilst I've loved every moment of Emmerdale, you know there's a part where you want to go out and explore other things, you want to try do other shows, other dramas, films, you know present something.
"I don't know where it might lead me, it might lead me to nowhere, but I've got to try."
Host Ross told listeners: "By the time you guys are watching this, you will know Danny's done his last days on Emmerdale…
"A new and exciting sort of path opening up for you…"
The star made the decision to exit ahead of appearing on I’m A Celebrity.
A source said: “Danny has been on the soap for a very long time and had been thinking about leaving.
“When I’m A Celeb came up he knew it was the perfect opportunity and would leave him financially secure.
“Becoming a dad to Albert has really changed his perspective on things.”
Danny previously quit Emmerdale in 2012 but returned in 2014 to reprise his role.
He has been involved in a number of notable storylines including coming to terms with his sexuality, his relationship with Robert Sugden (Ryan Hawley), and that he sexually abused by his father when he was a child.
This isn't the only exciting thing going on in Danny's life as he's just become a father for the first time.
The TV favourite and fiancée Steph announced the news that they welcomed their son Albert into the world last month.
He admitted he debated long and hard about whether it was the right time to leave his new family behind.
But right now the family unit are quarantining together in a Welsh cottage ahead of Monday's launch show when Danny will go it alone.
The couple, who announced they were expecting in February after a year of IVF treatment, found out the sex of their child when Steph gave birth.
He previously told OK! Magazine of their upcoming birthing plan: "Yeah, I'd be lying if I said I wasn't nervous, I think it's good nerves, though.
"But sometimes I do get a bit like. 'Oh God, what if I do this wrong?' I'm nervous about that but I think to learn and to grow, you've got to learn on the job."
