Emma Corrin is now a Golden Globe nominee.
The actress received her first nod from the Hollywood Foreign Press this morning when she was named in the best actress category for her role as Princess Diana in The Crown. She finds herself in the race against one of her costars, Olivia Colman, nominated for her performance as Queen Elizabeth II, as well as Jodie Comer of Killing Eve, Laura Linney of Ozark, and Sarah Paulson of Ratched. The Crown also leads in TV nominations with six nods. The winners will be announced at the live ceremony on February 28.
Corrin, one of 2020’s biggest breakout stars, shared a video to her Instagram Story of her reaction to her nomination. In the footage, she sits up with her hands to her face in anticipation, and then jumps up and screams when her name is announced. It’s absolute joy in its purest form.
“WELL DONE EVERYONE THIS IS MADNESS!! THANK YOU!” she wrote on the clip.
