SEVERELY burned after being caught up in a maze fire, Priya Sharma has gone through a turbulent few weeks.
But her return to work as a wedding planner will only highlight her pain when her scars will be mocked by a co-worker.
Priya – played by Fiona Wade – is one of the victims of Survival Week at The Hop, which occurred in October 2021.
The maze was set ablaze during Meena Jutla (Paige Sandhu) and Andrea Tate's (Anna Nightingale) showdown, when a flare gun was set off.
Priya was innocently headed into the maze to drop off the winning team's prize from the survival challenge when she was trapped in the maze.
She struggled to get out and when Ellis Chapman found her, she tried to flee but a scarecrow fell on top of her, causing her body to catch fire.
Ellis was able to carry her to safety but Priya sustained severe burns from the horrific events.

She was therefore forced to undergo major surgery and was given skin grafts to heal from the burns.
Her ordeal was far from over as her relationship with food only worsened.
Forced to rest and barely able to move due to her injuries, Priya's inactivity haunted her and she was convinced she was only getting bigger because of it.
Her struggles with her body image are far from over and a character in an upcoming episode of Emmerdale will be adding fuel to the fire.
Set to air in January, 2022, the episode shows Priya's brother Jai (Chris Bisson) asking Leyla Harding (Roxy Shahidi) to welcome her back to the office.
Although Priya's first day back to Take a Vow is off to a good start, she struggles with the discomfort from her burns and has to deal with a forceful and unhappy client.
