KIM Tate is in for the mother of all shocks in Emmerdale next week when her son Jamie’s secret wife and child turn up in the village.
The Lady of the Home Farm manor – who’s played by Claire King – is out riding one of her horses on a country road when a car speeds past her, causing the animal to bolt.
When Kim later spots the woman who was driving the car, she doesn’t hold back, totally letting rip at her for her irresponsible actions.
But it’s Kim that’s soon left speechless. She’s floored when she learns the woman is actually Jamie’s secret wife, Andrea. She also discovers Jamie –Alexander Lincoln – has a young daughter called Mille.
Meanwhile Andrea – played by My Fat Diary star Anna Nightingale – is unimpressed when she finds out that Jamie has been living the high life at Home Farm with his mother. She seethes as it looks like Kim has well and truly got her claws into Jamie.
Jamie is caught between the two women and is relieved – and hopeful – when Andrea agrees to stay the night in the village with their daughter.
The next day, a determined Jamie attempts to find Andrea a job in an attempt to get her to stay in the village.
Elsewhere Kim is also simmering with determination as she resolves not to lose Jamie to Andrea. Will the two women in Jamie’s life ever see eye to eye? And should the villagers expect some fireworks from Home Farm now Andrea’s on the scene?
Andrea’s arrival will be a kick in the teeth for fans who have been hoping for a love match between Jamie and grieving Belle Dingle.
With the on-going war between the Tates and Dingle viewers predicted a romance between Jamie and Belle, branding them the Dales’ answer to Romeo and Juliet.
Actress Claire King even added fuel to the fire by teasing a romance between the pair.
