Evil Meena (played by Paige Sandhu) started her ruthless culling of Emmerdale residents subtly after she got a taste for killing. The wicked nurse has since progressed into more daring acts though, and nobody on the ITV soap is safe. She recently took her sister Manpreet (Rebecca Sarker) hostage after she became suspicious about her strange behaviour. On Friday’s episode, a concerned Vinny (Bradley Johnson) followed Meena to the barn where Manpreet is being held, but it didn’t take long for Meena to knock him unconscious. Could Noah Dingle (Jack Downham) who had been left disturbed over Meena’s odd comments, have followed his friend?

Meena is showing no mercy to her victims, and it seems Vinny and Manpreet’s deaths are now sealed.

With nobody aware of their whereabouts, Meena firmly believes she could get away with two more murders.

Manpreet is becoming weaker and weaker as her sister keeps her trapped in the barn, and with Vinny now captured too, it probably won’t be long before the unhinged nurse starts plotting to get rid of them for good.

However, could an unlikely hero be about to save the day?

Before Vinny set off to follow Meena, he’d discussed his concerns with local teen Noah.

Noah is in Meena’s bad books for stealing a ring she had stolen in the first place.

As she taunted Noah over this, he picked up on Meena’s ominous behaviour.

She went on to provoke Vinny over Liv Flaherty (Isobel Steele) who is currently in prison for Ben Tucker’s (Simon Lennon) murder.

Fans know Meena was the one to kill Ben, and she delighted in making jibes about Liv.

“Must be such a worry, being so certain she’s innocent but just not able to prove it,” Meena told Vinny.

She added: “What amazes me is why arrest Liv, of all people?

“Because the police are usually like, ‘it’s a man’, so I guess it’s quite refreshing.

“I mean, women can be violent sadists, just like any guy.”

“I know,” Vinny replied.

Meena continued: “But Liv – I mean no offence, but I can’t see her having the guts.”

“Or strength,” Vinny pointed out. “Ben was a fit fellow, it’s stupid to even think she could take him on.”

“But someone did,” Meena replied darkly. “Maybe they took him by surprise or they knew him, so his guard was down.

“Either way, they didn’t even try hiding the body.

“That’s mega fearless – impressive.”

She added: “Anyway, give Liv my love, tell her I know she didn’t do it.”

Vinny seemed puzzled by the strange comments and confided in Noah after spotting Meena threatening him.

“What did she say to you?” He asked Noah.

“Nothing,” Noah replied. Vinny was concerned, though.

He pleaded: “She’s an oddball, Noah – just tell me what she said.”

“She freaks me out,” Noah admitted. “She’s messing with my head.”

Vinny later decided to follow Meena, but this would end up being a potentially fatal error.

While driving to the barn, she noticed Vinny tailing her, so was one step ahead.

Manpreet begged her not to hurt Vinny after she attacked him, but this seems an unlikely hope.

Could Noah have decided to follow Vinny though? He heard the van had been stolen and may have decided to try to trace Vinny through his phone, following his location on foot.

Could he be the one to take Meena by surprise and trap her while saving the two hostages?

Emmerdale continues on Monday at 7pm on ITV.
