Good Morning Britain fans were convinced that they'd rumbled Richard Arnold's April Fool's Day Prank attempt.

The showbiz television presenter, 51, unveiled a new programme called Dove Island which appeared to be an animal spoof of ITV's Love Island but for birds instead.

Introducing the new show, Richard said: "Forget Love Island as we now have Dove Island."

Eagle-eyed viewers were not buying into the concept and remembered that it's April 1st today.

Taking to Twitter, fans called out Richard for attempting the 'worst' gag ever.

One tweet read: Worst attempt at April's fools joke ever. #GMB

A second penned: "#GMB….errr April Fool Dove island"

Another added: "Hahaha Dove Island. NICE TRY! APRIL FOOLS. #gmb"

While a forth fumed: "#GMB do you think we are stupid? Dove Island? #AprilFoolsDay."
