Susanna Reid grilled small business minister Paul Scully during a heated debate on Thursday’s instalment of Good Morning Britain about Tory sleaze. Conservative MP is facing serious backlash following allegations about his commitment to his parliamentary position after it was revealed he earned more than £1million from his outside legal work alone last year. Reid told Scully it was “horrible” that MPs are “earning millions” from second jobs.
Susanna fumed to Scully: “Don’t you think this whole discussion is alienating for your constituents who feel like they need to be represented?
“We are speaking on the day that perhaps 60,000 care workers, many of them on minimum wage, are losing their jobs and have not been double vaccinated.
“Care home residents face losing their trusted carer and some care homes may have to close and we are talking about MPs earning millions and not being around, potentially, for their constituents.
“I mean it’s a horrible look for the Government this morning isn’t it?”
