James Bond 25: Daniel Craig ‘will film in pain’ after injury – Naomie Harris gives UPDATE

Craig, who will play James Bond for the fifth time in the as-yet-untitled movie, sustained an ankle injury that took him temporarily out of action.

But Harris has said he’s now back to work, and is so dedicated to the blockbuster that he’ll keep pushing through any continuing pain to get it all finished on schedule.

Harris has played Eve Moneypenny since 2012’s Skyfall, reprising the role in 2015’s Spectre.

“I think they’ve already been shooting so I think he’s okay and back to work,” she told Entertainment Weekly of her co-star.

“He’s such a trooper and such a strong guy that I think even if he was still in pain, he would just chug along and make sure that we complete it on schedule.”

The publication adds that Harris has not received a full script for the film – aligning with previous reports that rewrites were continuing as filming progresses.

Moneypenny has been behind a desk in recent years; not out in the field like she was at the top of Skyfall.

Harris has hinted that it’s something that won’t necessarily be changing in Bond 25.

“I will not be headed to Jamaica [where filming has been taking place],” she confessed.

“I already went for one day for the press launch. For the first time in a long time, I’m shooting at home in London.

“That doesn’t happen very often, so I’m really excited about that. I get to sleep in my own bed, come home to my own home.”

“Moneypenny is behind a desk now, she’s not even badass anymore,” she added.

Bond 25 has faced allegations of a number of troubles; including an on-set accident involving an explosion.

It was also claimed recently that filming was delayed because director Cary Fukunaga was playing videogames, but this was not confirmed.

Rumours have also been circulating that Craig’s injury has created issues in scheduling in time for him and Rami Malek to film their scenes together.

The movie is expected to be Craig’s last in the role – with Richard Madden leading the betting to replace him.

Bond 25 is out on April 8, 2020.
