As Strictly Come Dancing fans anxiously waited for the result to be counted and verified, Janette Manrara made a return to the dance floor. She joined husband Aljaz Skojanec to dance as Ed Sheeran performed Bad Habits. It was the first time the professional dancer was included in a routine since she left the show to host It Takes Two with Rylan Clark.
Ahead of the routine, Janette shared her excitement with fans on Twitter about dancing with Aljaz once more.
She wrote: “Tonight I dance once again w/ my beautiful @AljazSkorjanec.
“I have missed dancing w/ him more then I can explain. And what a special night to dance as well; @bbcstrictly Final & w/ Ed Sheeran!
“I hope you all enjoy it as much as we love dancing it. It was was so special for us.”
Strictly viewers were thrilled to see Janette back on screens and praised the performance on Twitter.
Kerry McGee posted: “Wow, Aljaz and Janette, that was some dance #StrictlyFinal #strictly.”
Jamal added: “Omg Aljaz & Janette burn that dance floor. They killed it. What a sexy Couple. #Strictly #StrictlyComeDancing.”

Stephen Schofield continued: “Great series this year good luck which ever contestant wins, brilliant just watching Janette return.
“Hope they keep Aton as a judge I must say he’s been brilliant this year. #Strictly.”
After Janette’s performance, Rose Ayling-Ellis made history as she won Strictly Come Dancing 2021 on Saturday evening.
Speaking after their win, Rose told Giovanni: “I just want to say you’re so amazing, you pushed me to believe in myself more than I believed in myself.
“You’re an incredible teacher and a wonderful friend and we have gone through a lot, and I just want you to know you’ve always got a piece of my heart.”
Giovanni replied: “Incredible. I have to say thank you to this beautiful young lady who made all my dreams come true.
“It took me seven years to get that thing and you became the best dancer, the best teammate I could have asked for, you are a dream so thank you for everything.”
The judges heaped praise on Rose in the final with Anton Du Beke fighting back tears: “I can’t speak, it’s so beautiful. Forgive me for not looking at you or I will cry.”
Craig Revel Horwood added: “I don’t know how I would make a decision tonight so I’m glad I’m not.”
Shirley Ballas said: “She’s melted my heart, the love you have for dance and for each other will last a lifetime. It will leave a mark on my heart forever, thank you for doing this competition.”
