Louise Redknapp made an appearance on The One Show tonight with Alex Jones and Ronan Keating to talk about her new book You’ve Got This which was released today. During the interview, Louise candidly opened up about being “scared” to share the last few years of her life in the book, which included her divorce from Jamie.

Answering Alex’s question about what was the scariest moment of her life to share in the book, Louise replied: “I think most probably the last few years of my life.

“I think I can talk about Eternal, being just me and my mum for many years, but I think the last few years I really have learnt so much and I think those were the chapters that I was most scared about putting out.

“I read so many different things,” said the singer. “And this wasn’t a book about being nasty about anybody or hurting anybody.”

“This is just me saying how I felt as a woman (and) as a mum that had got to a certain age in my life, and things just kind of got a bit far and I just put it down on paper and then it’s kind of just what I learnt from that time and how I would have maybe done some things differently and maybe not.”

“I was really shocked by the amount of, I don’t know, judgement maybe is the right word? I couldn’t understand why I was so heavily judged,” added Louise.

“It was just scary. It was a scary time, I was going through a hard time.”

Describing the book, Louise said: “As much as it speaks a lot about my life, it’s not a big tell-all book or anything.

“I’ve really just talked about certain stages in my life when I was younger right till now.

“And then the second part of the chapters is what I learnt along the way, what I would have done different, what I wish I had bottled and kept with me all the way through,” she said.
