Love Island fans have voiced their anger at Kaz Kamwi and Tyler Cruickshank being placed last in the series final.

The couple were one of four pairs hoping to take the series crown on Monday night, but viewers were shocked to see that they finished in fourth place and even threatened to complain to Ofcom.

Kaz and Tyler had had a rocky ride to the final after his head was turned in Casa Amor and he came back from his week away with new girl Clarisse Juliette, leaving Kaz heartbroken.

But after many tear-filled heart to hearts, the couple decided to make a go of it and reached the final, only to be beaten by Millie Court and Liam Reardon who won, Chloe Burrows and Toby Aromolaran who were runners up, and Faye Winter and Teddy Soares who placed third.

Many of Kaz and Tyler's fans couldn't believe what they were hearing when the couple were announced by host Laura Whitmore as coming in last, and took to Twitter to express their anger.

One fan tweeted: "Kaz and Tyler fourth??!? Get me on the phone to Ofcom"

Another viewer wrote: " @Ofcom. I want one of your advisors to recount the votes while I’m on the phone tomorrow. I need to know how Kaz and Tyler came 4th"

Someone else commented: "Thank u ofcom for receiving my complaint about how kaz and Tyler shouldn’t be last"

However, there was some good news for the pair as Tyler revealed he wanted his next relationship to be his last, meaning he is fully committed to making things work in the real world with Kaz.

Jake Cornish and Liberty Poole had been expected to make the final, too, but decided to quit the villa on Friday when Liberty broke off their relationship.

Meanwhile, Mary Bedford and Aaron Simpson were the final couple to be dumped from the show after receiving the lowest number of viewer votes shortly before the final.

Kaz had many ups and downs during her time on Love Island as she tried to find romance, being dumped in favour of new girls by a number of Islanders until she found Tyler.

Although it looked like he would leave her for Clarisse after Casa Amor week, Tyler eventually realised his heart lay with Kaz and they managed to patch things up during their final weeks in the villa.

Millie and Liam were surprise winners for viewers who had expected Chloe and Toby to bag the prize, and chose to share their £50,000 prize fund with each other as Millie opened the envelope to show that she had the chance to keep the lot for herself.

The winning couple also had a tough time during Casa Amor week when Liam grew close to Lillie Haynes and Millie dumped him for cheating, but he won her back and they were named the series champions.
