Michelle Keegan terrified as sausage dog Phoebe is rushed to vets after eating raisin flapjack

MICHELLE Keegan was in a panic after realising her beloved pooch had eaten poisonous food.

The actress, 33, frantically rushed her dachshund Phoebe to the vet after the small dog sneakily ate a raisin flapjack behind her mum's back.

She posted a pic outside of the vet clinic on her Instagram stories with a stern warning to other dog owners.

"WARNING. Please don't feed your dogs raisins, grapes or any foods containing these they're TOXIC to dogs … luckily I knew this and when I saw an empty flapjack wrapper & my dog licking her lips I knew exactly what had happened," a concerned Michelle wrote on her Instagram stories.

"I immediately rang my Vet and they told me to bring her in RIGHT AWAY so they could give her an injection to make her vomit."

Grapes and raisins are highly toxic for dogs and can lead to fatal kidney failure.

Three hours after the post, Michelle shared an update on Phoebe's condition.

The Insta story should a fragile looking Phoebe curled up on a towel as Michelle loving stroked her head.

Michelle captioned the update: "She's ok, just feeling a little nauseous (and a little sorry for herself).

"DON'T FEED YOUR DOGS RAISINS!!! The most expensive flapjack I've ever bought."

Michelle is a proud dog mama and recently declared: "Everyday is International Dog Day in this house".

The animal lover owns three dogs with her husband Mark Wright, living together in their Essex mansion.

Earlier this month, Phoebe was in better spirits as she raced over to Michelle to give her kisses on a quiet night in.

Along with rushing her beloved pooch to the vet, yesterday was a big day for Michelle who also returned to the Cobbles for a reunion with the Coronation Street cast.

She returned to the iconic Manchester set as the current cast film Christmas episodes, and she shared a video of her tour on Instagram.

Reminiscing about her years on the soap, she wrote: "Look where I am… Feels like yesterday I was on these cobbles."

The star took a daytime stroll past Dev's off licence and The Kabin, and decorations could be seen hanging from the streetlights.

Michelle spent six years on the soap before she met a violent end at the hands of Rob Donovan.

The ex-con threw her off a balcony at the builders' yard after she threatened to expose his wrongdoing.

Despite Tina's grisly end, Michelle has expressed a desire to return to the show, suggesting a sensational resurrection could be on the cards at some point in the future.

She previously said: "I always say that I’d love to go back to Corrie – I was always a massive fan of Coronation Street growing up and I’ll never say never. You never know what happens in the future."
