Mirzapur: Excel Movies release opening credits for series two
Amazon Prime Video drama Mirzapur is going to be returning for a third series with the brutal drama expanding out beyond the confines of the titular region. Season two, which dropped in 2020, already expanded the world of Mirzapur as Guddu Pandit (played by Ali Fazal) spent his time lying low and planned his attack on the Tripathis. The show also introduced lots of other characters and rival mobsters who were eyeing up Mirzapur for their own ends.
Is Robin the secret Tripathi heir?
WARNING: This article contains spoilers from Mirzapur seasons 1 and 2
Among the new characters to be introduced were Radheshyam “Robin” Agarwa (played by Priyanshu Painyuli), who was a fixer living in Lucknow.
Working on behalf of the criminals of Purvanchal, Robin would run errands and help with their financial matters.
The character has gained comparisons to both Littlefinger (Aidan Gillen) in Game of Thrones and Saul Goodman (Bob Odenkirk) from Breaking Bad because of his duplicitous role.
Robin also became involved with Guddu’s sister Dimpy Pandit (Harshita Gaur) after she started attending college in Lucknow.

By the end of the series, the couple were printing wedding invitations as they prepared to tie the knot.
Although Robin remained a man of mystery, his inclusion seemed significant given he shared some details about his backstory.
He told Guddu how his mother had died and hinted she came from a dubious background.
The lack of information suggested there was more going on here than met the eye with some wondering if Robin could be the Tripathi heir.
One Mirzapur fan called Marshall4452 posted on Reddit: “Why do I feel like Robin is a tripathi heir?
“With all the mysteries associated with his mother, I will not be surprised if he turns out to be a illegitimate lovechild of Bauji and Munna’s original mom [sic].”
While another person called kayvatelte was less convinced of this theory, responding: “I doubt.
“All tripathi family is aggresive even if not physically sound, e.g munna.

Mirzapur season 3: Is Munna really the father of Beena’s baby? [INSIGHT]
“The way he is soft and gentle, can be shukla clan [sic].”
There’s nothing to suggest Bauji Tripathi (Kulbhushan Kharbanda) didn’t father a child with Robin’s mother given his sexual appetites and predilections.
Bauji is already suspected of being the father of Beena Tripathi’s (Rasika Dugal) baby and fans have theorised he may even be the father of Munna (Divyenndu) and slept with Kaleen Bhaiya’s (Pankaj Tripathi) first and second wives.
Therefore, it wouldn’t be a stretch to think he also had another child with Robin’s mother and so the young man could be the one to inherit the throne of Mirzapur.
Even if Robin isn’t the Tripathi heir, he’s certainly pulling a lot of his strings and has connections which makes him a contender to become a kingpin.
His marriage to Dimpy is significant as well as it puts him right in the crosshairs of Guddu, who is keeping the throne of Mirzapur warm for Beena’s son when he comes of age.
Redditor pedeux2 commented on Robin, saying: “He give me vibes of Noone from Game of throne.
“Have a unknown Decieving persnality lot of potential, hides it.
“I would love to see him fight against big power to see wht he is capable of [sic].”
While a fan called weirrrrrd shared some Robin-related predictions for season three, posting: “Robin is revealed to have a secret agenda (sort of Littlefinger).”
They went on to suggest Robin would be working with Sharad Shukla (Anjum Sharma) as well as making things worse for his brother-in-law in an underhand manner.
The fan goes on to suggest: “Guddu finally finds Robin and tries to threaten him but finds out that there is more to this game.”
