Money Heist will be getting two new additions to its cast in its fifth and final season as Miguel Ángel Silvestre and Patrick Criado join the show. Netflix has also now dropped some first-look images of his character in action. Here’s everything revealed so far about who Criado will play in the series, as well as everything fans need to know about the star.
Who is Patrick Criado in Money Heist?
When it was confirmed Money Heist would be ending with its fifth season, the show’s creator also revealed some new casting.
Actors Miguel Ángel Silvestre and Patrick Criado were announced to be joining the ensemble cast.
Pina has not yet revealed who they will be playing, he did drop some teases to Entertainment Weekly.
He said: “We always try that our opponents be charismatic, intelligent, shiny.
“In this case, in pure war film genre, we also look for characters whose intelligence can measure up against The Professor’s (played by Alvaro Morte).”

This led fans to believe Cirado could be playing a new villain for the heist gang to overcome.
However, now Netflix has released the first images of his character, which might confirm he is actually part of the gang.
The first images released of season five see him and Berlin (Pedro Alonso) involved in a mysterious conversation, which could imply they are teaming up.
Criado’s character is seen in a cap and glasses in what seems to be a flashback in the new photos.
As well as this, some images of filming have been released online by fans who have been speculating he could actually be part of the gang.
This comes after he was spotted filming in Denmark with some of the other lead cast members.
This includes Pedro Alonso who plays Berlin, Luka Peros who plays Marseille and Diana Gomez who plays Tatiana.
Posting on Reddit, user AWiseKiddo wrote: “It’s becoming clearer that Patrick Criado is going to be part of the gang, so that means Miguel will be a cop.”
However, it does seem like his role will not be revealed clearly until the fifth part of the show is actually released.

He is best known for his role as Nuno de Santillana in Red Eagle.
The 24-year-old has also appeared in shows like La Linea Invisible, Vivir Sin Permiso and El Padre de Cain.
As soon as his role was announced on La Casa de Papel, the star posted an image of the iconic mask on Instagram.

“Happy to announce that I will be in the last season of The Money Heist! See you soon my friends!”
Whoever he is going to play, Pina has confirmed season five will be a dramatic ending for the Spanish drama.
He added to Entertainment Weekly: “Adrenaline is within Money Heist’s DNA.
“Every thirty seconds things take place and disrupt the characters, a turn of the screw to the action.
“The adrenaline mixed with feelings arising from absolutely complex, magnetic, unforeseeable characters will continue until the end of the heist to the Bank of Spain.
“However, the gang will now be pushed into irreversible situations, into a wild war: it is the most epic part of all the parts we’ve shot.”
